Trekking 4X4

The Tadrart (200 km south-east of Djanet) is located in the south of the National Park of Tassili N'Ajjer, this is an endless variety of landscapes, where the most black rock mixes the deepest rouges.canyons sand dunes with changing colors, sandstone castles and rocks carved into cathedrals, secret gueltas, flooded plains of light and discover many engravings and paintings of the Neolithic.

Program


Day 01: arrival at the airport, welcomes our Tuareg team. Transfer to your bivouac in Tinamali


Day 02: departure for Tadrart with 4x4, arriving in El Berdj We join Beautiful landscapes.


Day 03: Wadi El Crossing Berdj to admire engravings and rock paintings Afternoon pass by 4x4 in the sand dunes to reach the evening bivouac at Moulanaga


Day 04: departure to Wan Zaouten passage between dunes and extraordinary pink sandstone rocks. You discover the engravings of wan Iska we arrive late in the day to Wan Zaouten.


Day 05: We continue our trek to In Tehak, visit of the cathedral arches, paintings and gravures.Bivouac to In-Tehak


Day 06: departure for Tin-Merzouga, passing through the magical landscapes, composed of rocks of various shapes, then arrived the afternoon before sunset at Tin-Merzouga. Bivouac at the foot of the dune


Day 07: from Tin-Merzouga towards ajalati, road vehicles borrow wadi In Djaran; cliffs carved by erosion are home to many etchings and paintings rupestres.bivouac ajalati


Day 08: departure to Djanet, get the afternoon take a shower and then visited the city and transfer 4x4 .Visit etching the "Weeping Cow". bivouac (tirarrart) Then towards the airport for the flight back night


Accompaniment

Touareg tour guide, speaking French and English and a local Touareg team consisting of a cook often also driver and his 4x4 according to the size of the group, who will share their life and experience throughout the course. For unpredictable reasons at this stage, including weather but also shape or form of participants, your guide may need to adapt the program, if necessary, for the smooth running of your trip



Difficulties

This hike is given as accessible to all who are in good health. At the time of writing, 4x4 logistics for the Tadrart. The stages are 4 to 6 hours of walking, quiet pace, according to discoveries and nomadic meetings. The luggage is carried by the vehicles we find in the evening. Provide a small backpack for the gourd, camera, sweater, etc. See equipment list later in this document.


Accommodation

Most nights during the tour are in bivouac

under a tent more mattress or under the stars for lovers of nights with the milky way for only one roof, On request, we can provide you with tents


MEAL

The breakfast is rich during the hike. At noon, the meal is a cold or hot picnic. In the evening, it is hot prepared by our friends and Touareg accompaniers, based on fresh local products that are available in the season you come.

If the water is usually boiled by your companions, plan pellets (type micropur or others) to disinfect the water that you put in your bottle, depending on the source and on the advice of your guide. You can also buy mineral water on site (not included in the price) but its environmental record is poor, as you know. Also, we do not recommend it.


Baggage

A large, solid travel bag and small backpack for walking. This bag must be strong (use a cover if necessary)

Only your backpack with your belongings of the day will be transported by you, the rest of the luggage and sleeping equipment being transported by 4x4, your faithful companions during all the circuit



Passport & visa

For foreign nationals, the visa is obligatory. You must make the arrangements yourself to the Algerian Consulate, in this case thank you for contacting us so that we can provide you with a certificate of support for our local team, Passport valid and valid 6 months after the date of return

One or two flashlights with backup batteries (the front are very practical)

Dandruff and spare batteries for your camera

Loose clothes, preferably made of cotton

A pair of sandals and a pair of tennis shoes or walking shoes

Your checkbooks and credit cards are not usable in the region
